This fully remote position requires residency in Kentucky or Indiana and offers the opportunity to support a leading healthcare provider committed to quality and compliance. As an Inpatient Coder, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of inpatient coding, directly impacting the measurement and reporting of physician and hospital outcomes. You will be responsible for maintaining up-to-date knowledge of clinical coding, adhering to documentation requirements and official coding guidelines, and contributing to continuous quality improvement initiatives. This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position with a competitive hourly rate and the possibility of contract extension.<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>WHAT YOU&#8217;LL DO<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure accurate and complete coding of inpatient medical records in accordance with Coding Clinic and AHA Official Coding Guidelines.<\/li>\n<li>Review clinical documentation to assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes for hospital and physician outcome reporting.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain up-to-date knowledge of clinical coding standards, documentation requirements, and regulatory guidelines.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives related to coding accuracy and compliance.<\/li>\n<li>Utilize coding software and electronic health record systems (e.g., Solventum 360, CAC, Epic) to support coding activities.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with healthcare providers and other team members to clarify documentation and resolve coding discrepancies.<\/li>\n<li>Adhere to confidentiality and data security standards when handling patient information.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>WHAT YOU BRING<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>2+ years of traditional Inpatient Coding experience.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with Solventum 360, CAC, and Epic systems.<\/li>\n<li>Associate degree required.<\/li>\n<li>RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certification required.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Coding Clinic and AHA Official Coding Guidelines for diagnosis and procedural coding.<\/li>\n<li>Microsoft Office, EHR, and Encoder experience preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with complex surgeries (e.g., spinal, cardiac) preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to ensure accurate and complete coding for reporting physician and hospital outcomes.<\/li>\n<li>Commitment to continuous quality improvement in coding practices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<\/h4>\n","protected":false},"author":0,"featured_media":774,"template":"","meta":{"inline_featured_image":false,"_promoted":"","_job_location":"Louisville, Kentucky","_application":"applications@staffingfuture.com","_company_name":"Medasource","_company_website":"","_company_tagline":"","_company_twitter":"","_company_video":"","_filled":0,"_featured":0,"_remote_position":0,"_job_salary":"","_job_salary_currency":"","_job_salary_unit":""},"job-types":[15],"class_list":["post-3757","job_listing","type-job_listing","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","job-type-contract"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.8 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>Inpatient Coder, Louisville Kentucky<\/title>\n<meta name=\"description\" content=\"Inpatient Coder, Louisville Kentucky - - Search the latest jobs from Medasource.
