The IT organization supports complex clinical, research, and academic environments and partners closely with UCSF Real Estate and external vendors on <strong>large-scale construction and renovation projects<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The IT Project Manager will lead and coordinate IT workstreams related to <strong>major construction and renovation projects<\/strong> at UCSF\u2019s Mission Bay campus. This role will split time between:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A\u00a0<strong>new building development<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>A\u00a0<strong>comprehensive renovation of an existing building<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Responsibilities include:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Drive\u00a0<strong>IT planning, design, and implementation<\/strong>\u00a0across each project<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with\u00a0<strong>Infrastructure, Security, and Applications<\/strong>\u00a0teams to define and deliver IT scope<\/li>\n<li>Work closely with\u00a0<strong>UCSF Real Estate<\/strong>\u00a0and external partners (low-voltage vendors, general contractors, HVAC, and other trades) to align IT work with construction schedules<\/li>\n<li>Manage project plans, timelines, dependencies, risks, and issues specific to IT in a construction context<\/li>\n<li>Ensure IT infrastructure and services (network, AV, workstations, peripherals, BMS integrations, and business\/clinical applications) are\u00a0<strong>designed, installed, tested, and ready<\/strong>\u00a0for building activation<\/li>\n<li>Lead stakeholder communications and status reporting to IT leadership and project governance bodies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skill Set Requirements:<\/strong>  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>8+ years<\/strong>\u00a0of\u00a0<strong>IT Project Management experience on construction projects<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Proven track record delivering IT components for\u00a0<strong>new construction and major renovations<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Hands-on experience managing:\n<ul>\n<li>Network infrastructure (LAN\/WAN\/Wi-Fi)<\/li>\n<li>AV systems<\/li>\n<li>Workstations, end-user devices, peripherals<\/li>\n<li>Business and\/or clinical applications impacted by construction\/moves<\/li>\n<li><strong>BMS \/ building systems<\/strong>\u00a0or closely related technologies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Strong background working with:\n<ul>\n<li>Internal IT groups (<strong>Infrastructure, Security, Applications<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<li>Real Estate \/ Facilities<\/li>\n<li>External vendors:\u00a0<strong>low-voltage, GC, HVAC, and specialty contractors<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Excellent\u00a0<strong>stakeholder management, vendor management, and communication<\/strong>\u00a0skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to operate in a\u00a0<strong>complex academic medical environment<\/strong>\u00a0with multiple parallel workstreams and governance structures<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Education \/ Certifications \/ Licenses (Preferred):<\/strong>  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>PMP certification<\/strong>\u00a0(preferred)<\/li>\n<li><strong>RCDD certification<\/strong>\u00a0(preferred)<\/li>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in\u00a0<strong>Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Construction Management<\/strong>, or related field (or equivalent work experience)<\/li>\n<li>Prior experience in an\u00a0<strong>academic medical center or healthcare<\/strong>\u00a0environment is\u00a0<strong>strongly preferred<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Use this breakdown to screen and submit only candidates who:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Are\u00a0<strong>Bay Area local<\/strong>\u00a0and comfortable onsite<\/li>\n<li>Have\u00a0<strong>8+ years<\/strong>\u00a0of\u00a0<strong>IT construction project<\/strong>\u00a0experience<\/li>\n<li>Ideally bring\u00a0<strong>academic medical or healthcare<\/strong>\u00a0construction background<\/li>\n<li>And clearly list the required experience and any relevant certifications in their resume.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<\/h4>\n","protected":false},"author":0,"featured_media":774,"template":"","meta":{"inline_featured_image":false,"_promoted":"","_job_location":"San Francisco, California","_application":"applications@staffingfuture.com","_company_name":"Medasource","_company_website":"","_company_tagline":"","_company_twitter":"","_company_video":"","_filled":0,"_featured":0,"_remote_position":0,"_job_salary":"","_job_salary_currency":"","_job_salary_unit":""},"job-types":[15],"class_list":["post-3350","job_listing","type-job_listing","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","job-type-contract"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.8 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>IT Project Manager \u2013 Construction \/ Infrastructure, San Francisco California<\/title>\n<meta name=\"description\" content=\"IT Project Manager \u2013 Construction \/ Infrastructure, San Francisco California - - Search the latest jobs from Medasource.
