ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client, a leading pharmaceutical organization, is seeking an experienced Planisware Portfolio Planning & Training Consultant to support the expansion of clinical development planning capabilities. In this hybrid role, you will deliver hands-on training, coaching, and operational support to employees transitioning into portfolio planning responsibilities, ensuring effective utilization of the customized AMP platform. You will play a key role in developing and delivering structured training, creating user documentation, supporting project scheduling, milestone tracking, resource planning, and portfolio reporting. Additionally, you will identify opportunities to improve workflows, standardize planning processes, and facilitate organizational transitions and system adoption through effective stakeholder engagement and instructional design. This is a 9-month contract position starting January 4, 2027.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Deliver hands-on training, coaching, and ongoing support to employees adopting portfolio planning responsibilities within the AMP platform.
  • Develop and facilitate structured training sessions, user guides, and practical learning resources to enhance system proficiency and adoption.
  • Support day-to-day portfolio planning activities, including project scheduling, milestone tracking, resource planning, costing, and portfolio reporting.
  • Troubleshoot system challenges, assist users in navigating AMP functionality, and promote standardized planning processes.
  • Collaborate with clinical development and portfolio planning teams across multiple therapeutic areas to ensure accurate and consistent project data.
  • Support the transition of planning responsibilities from a centralized group of experienced planners to a broader employee base.
  • Identify workflow inefficiencies, training gaps, and opportunities to improve planning processes and system utilization.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to monitor training progress, reinforce best practices, and promote long-term user independence.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with Planisware and ability to quickly learn customized system configurations.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or clinical development portfolio planning, including support for Phase I–III programs.
  • Strong understanding of project scheduling, milestone management, dependencies, resource allocation, costing, and portfolio reporting.
  • Proven ability to train, coach, and mentor employees on complex software platforms and business processes.
  • Experience developing training documentation, facilitating workshops, and providing individualized end-user support.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while balancing hands-on planning responsibilities with training and knowledge-transfer initiatives.
  • Experience with enterprise-wide system adoption, organizational change management, or planning process transformations.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical portfolio governance, clinical development timelines, and cross-functional program management.
  • Experience transitioning planning responsibilities from specialized teams to broader business functions.
  • Background in instructional design, adult learning, or technical systems training.
