Job Title: Database Specialist III
Location: Los Altos, CA ā 333 Distel Rd
Schedule: Hybrid | 6ā9 month contract | Full-time
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in database management, data analysis, or data quality roles
- Experience with healthcare provider and location data or similar structured datasets
- Advanced Excel proficiency including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, nested formulas, and conditional logic
- Experience with PivotTables, PivotCharts, slicers, and calculated fields
- Experience with data validation, QA methods, and reconciliation checks
- Ability to perform data cleanup, normalization, de-duplication, and standardization
- Experience diagnosing data integrity issues and developing remediation plans
- Ability to manage multiple requests and deliver outputs independently with minimal oversight
- Ability to handle confidential information with accuracy and discretion
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelorās degree in Business Administration or related field
- Experience with Power Query or similar data transformation tools
- Experience with taxonomy mapping or crosswalks
- Experience supporting digital platforms, directories, or third-party listings
- Experience with reporting, dashboards, and performance analytics
- Experience conducting audits such as competitive or local presence reviews
Summary / Duties:
This temporary Database Specialist III role supports data quality and directory management for healthcare provider and location data across digital platforms and third-party listings. The position focuses on data cleanup, validation, reporting, and governance to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Responsibilities include intake and prioritization of requests, identifying data integrity issues, executing large-scale audits, and delivering validated datasets with minimal oversight. The role leverages advanced Excel to perform record updates, taxonomy crosswalks, and QA processes while maintaining audit trails and documentation. This individual plays a key role in ensuring provider data is optimized for discoverability and operational readiness, supporting both patient access and digital performance initiatives.
