Job Description

We are seeking a Biomedical Equipment Technician to support medical equipment maintenance and repair in a healthcare environment. This role is responsible for ensuring biomedical devices are functioning safely and efficiently through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and safety inspections on biomedical equipment
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a variety of medical devices
  • Respond to service requests and resolve equipment issues in a timely manner
  • Document all service activities, maintenance, and repairs accurately
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure proper equipment operation and usage
  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and basic configuration
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory and safety standards

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in biomedical equipment repair and maintenance
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with a variety of biomedical devices (e.g., infusion pumps, patient monitors, beds)
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or related field
  • Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting
  • Familiarity with CMMS systems for work order tracking
  • Manufacturer certifications or training (nice to have)
