Epic HB/HB Claims Analyst

Hybrid Role

(Travel required for implementation and go-live support)

(Pay: Competitive, commensurate with experience)

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client is seeking an experienced Epic Hospital Billing (HB) and HB Claims Analyst to play a key role in the implementation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of Epic HB and HB Claims workflows. In this hybrid role, you will collaborate closely with revenue cycle management (RCM) leadership, operational stakeholders, and technical teams to ensure that Epic billing and claims processes are optimized to meet business needs. You will be responsible for system build, configuration, validation, and documentation, as well as providing critical support during testing cycles, go-live, and post–go-live stabilization. This is a client-facing position that requires strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as a willingness to travel for onsite support during key project phases.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Support Epic HB and HB Claims workflows during implementations and ongoing client maintenance
  • Participate in Epic HB build, configuration, and validation activities
  • Support testing cycles, including unit testing, integrated testing, and end-user testing
  • Assist with claims configuration, billing workflows, edits, and workqueue optimization
  • Provide go-live support, including onsite support when required
  • Troubleshoot billing and claims issues in collaboration with operational and technical teams
  • Support post–go-live stabilization and ongoing system optimization
  • Work closely with RCM leadership and operational stakeholders to ensure workflows align with business needs
  • Document build decisions, workflows, and support processes to ensure knowledge transfer and compliance

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Epic HB or HB Claims experience (certification preferred, but strong experience will be considered)
  • Strong understanding of hospital revenue cycle workflows, including billing, claims, and reimbursement
  • Experience supporting Epic implementations and/or post–go-live maintenance
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, client-facing environment
  • Willingness and ability to travel for implementation and go-live support as needed
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and process improvement mindset
