Job Description
Field Implementation Specialist
Philadelphia, Southern New Jersey, or New York City Metro area (Must reside within 50 miles of a major metropolitan airport)
On-Site Role (95% travel, Mon-Fri, overnight required)
Compensation: $45 per hour
18-month contract (potential extension up to 3 years, possible conversion)
ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Field Implementation Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting this mission by serving as the primary liaison for post-sales customer support during the installation, implementation, and training of clinical chemistry and immunoassay analyzers and instruments at client sites nationwide. This entry-level, field-based position offers extensive mentorship and requires a high degree of independence, self-direction, and visibility. You will travel nationally up to 95% of the time, including overnight stays Monday through Friday, to deliver exceptional customer experiences and ensure successful solution adoption. This is a unique opportunity to make a direct impact on healthcare delivery while developing your technical and customer service skills in a dynamic, hands-on environment. The position is an 18-month contract with the potential for extension up to 3 years or conversion to a permanent role.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Serve as the primary liaison providing post-sales customer support during installation and implementation of clinical chemistry and immunoassay analyzers/instruments at customer sites nationwide
- Validate analyzer installations to ensure proper setup and functionality
- Assess customer organizational structure, workflow, and knowledge to identify training gaps
- Develop and deliver training to customers on platforms, processes, and expectations, including planning and coordination for implementation
- Provide first-level troubleshooting and problem-solving for customer issues, escalating complex issues as needed
- Identify opportunities for new system consumables (e.g., reagents, primary antibodies, bio-markers, software) for clients
- Document and report on implementation progress, customer feedback, and issues encountered
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless customer experience and continuous improvement of implementation processes
- Maintain extensive onsite presence with up to 95% travel, including overnight stays Monday through Friday, to support a national client base
- Receive mentorship and guidance to develop expertise in clinical chemistry and immunoassay solutions
WHAT YOU BRING
- Associateās degree in Medical Technology, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Clinical Laboratory Sciences
- 3 years of previous experience in a clinical laboratory or IT support in a clinical lab environment
- ASCP certification (preferred)
- Ability and willingness to rapidly gain and apply new knowledge, solutions, and skills for chemistry and IT solutions
- Effective customer communication skills (written and verbal), positive attitude, and ability to foster strong internal and external relationships
- Strong time-management, organization, and prioritization skills
- Ability to work independently as a field-based individual contributor with autonomy and self-direction
- Willingness and ability to travel nationally up to 95%, including overnight travel Monday through Friday
- Must reside within 50 miles of a major metropolitan airport in the US (no relocation provided)
