Title: Global Medical Affairs Omnichannel Education Lead
Location: Indianapolis, IN or Remote

Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Global Medical Affairs Omnichannel Education Lead to play a pivotal role in the strategic planning, design, execution, and evaluation of scientifically relevant, evidence-based educational solutions for healthcare professionals (HCPs). This position ensures HCPs receive the right content through the right channels at the right time, leveraging innovative educational techniques, digital platforms, and omnichannel strategies. The role is responsible for developing and implementing global, regional, and local education strategies aligned with therapeutic area priorities, collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders. Key responsibilities include leading the creation and dissemination of medical education plans, utilizing Next Best Action (NBA) and Next Best Engagement (NBE) tools, managing continuing medical education (CME) programs, overseeing project management and compliance, building relationships with key thought leaders and medical societies, and driving continuous improvement and capability-building initiatives. The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree in health sciences or equivalent experience, at least five years in medical education or medical affairs within the pharmaceutical industry, expertise in relevant therapeutic areas, and strong project management, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the development and dissemination of the Global Medical Omnichannel Education (MOE) plan in close collaboration with internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with global and internal business unit (IBU) priorities
- Collaborate cross-functionally to transform customer needs, market insights, and therapeutic area priorities into innovative educational strategies and solutions
- Leverage Next Best Action (NBA) and Next Best Engagement (NBE) tools to formulate tactical plans that address customer needs and learning preferences
- Coordinate the design and execution of omnichannel education initiatives, aligning with adult education principles and accreditation standards
- Lead the development of 1-2 year education curricula in line with medical education and omnichannel strategies, ensuring global, regional, and affiliate needs are addressed
- Develop and deploy evidence-based continuing medical education (CME) and professional development programs tailored to specific learning gaps and needs
- Manage the implementation of MOE programs, ensuring timely and effective execution through collaboration with internal teams, external vendors, and key stakeholders
- Oversee project management, maintaining up-to-date logs of program activities, monitoring resource usage, and ensuring compliance with accreditation and internal standards
- Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key thought leaders, medical societies, academic institutions, and education providers to co-create and deliver high-quality educational programs
- Gather and track insights about external collaborators and faculty to drive engagement strategies aligned with the omnichannel education plan
- Facilitate collaboration with thought leaders and societies to support the co-development of medical education and performance improvement initiatives
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including global, regional, and affiliate teams, to ensure alignment on education strategies and execution plans
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for medical omnichannel education, supporting affiliates in planning and executing local education initiatives
- Lead initiatives to enhance medical omnichannel education capabilities, leveraging innovative learning methods to improve the customer learning experience
- Partner with Field Medical teams to incorporate omnichannel strategies into training and engagement plans, ensuring cohesive field execution
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance educational design, customer engagement, and omnichannel execution
- Engage with the broader medical education community to identify and implement innovative trends and opportunities in HCP education
- Contribute to the ongoing development of internal educational programs to support scientific and educational competency growth
- Establish a master measurement plan outlining measures for each solution to support tracking and continuous improvement; work closely with analytics teams for above-tactic level analytics and reporting
- Execute measurement plans for implemented tactics, tracking execution, engagement, and impact metrics
- Oversee execution of the reporting plan, ensuring outcomes reporting and regular leadership updates
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Advanced degree in health sciences (PharmD, Ph.D., MD) or related field; a Bachelor’s degree with extensive customer-centric experience may be considered
- Minimum 5 years of experience in medical education, medical affairs, or a related field within the pharmaceutical industry
- At least 3 years of experience in Therapeutic Areas such as Immunology, Dermatology, or Gastroenterology
- Demonstrated success in project management, omnichannel strategy execution, and budget management
- Experience working with healthcare providers in integrated health systems and knowledge of regional payer landscapes
- Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages relevant to global markets preferred
- Demonstrated cross-cultural sensitivity and ability to work effectively with cross-functional and global teams
- High learning agility and adaptability
- Willingness to travel 25-30%
ADDITIONAL PREFERENCES
- Experience in adult education and instructional design
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking; ability to translate strategy into innovative, actionable plans
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to communicate clearly and succinctly with team members and leadership
- Strong problem-solving skills: ability to anticipate and recognize problems, diagnose root causes, and take corrective action
- Excellent implementation, self-management, and organizational skills; able to manage workload, set priorities, and adjust as needed
- Direct experience in a customer-facing position or in the development and implementation of brand strategy or medical education
