Field Implementation Specialist

  • Major West US City within 25 miles from airport
  • On-Site Role, 100% travel (up to 95% overnight travel, Mon-Fri)

As a Field Implementation Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting clinical chemistry and immunoassay analyzer installations at customer sites nationwide. This highly visible, field-based position requires extensive travel and self-directed onsite advisory support, serving as the primary liaison during post-sales implementation and training. You will be mentored to deliver exceptional customer experiences, validate installations, assess training needs, and provide first-level troubleshooting, all while fostering strong relationships and identifying opportunities for new system consumables. Some tasks may be performed remotely, but the role is primarily onsite with national coverage.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate’s degree in Medical Technology, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Clinical Laboratory Sciences
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a clinical laboratory or IT support within a clinical lab environment
  • ASCP Certification
  • Ability and willingness to rapidly gain and apply new knowledge, solutions, and skills for chemistry and IT solutions
  • Effective customer communication skills (written and verbal), positive attitude, and ability to foster strong internal and external relationships
  • Effective time-management, organization, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work independently as a field-based individual contributor with autonomy
  • Extensive travel required (up to 95% overnight travel, Mon-Fri)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the primary liaison and customer support representative during post-sales implementation of clinical chemistry and immunoassay analyzers/instruments at customer sites
  • Validate analyzer installations and ensure proper setup and functionality
  • Assess customer organizational structure, workflow, and knowledge to identify training gaps
  • Develop and deliver training sessions on platforms, processes, and expectations, including planning and coordination for implementation
  • Provide first-level troubleshooting and problem-solving support for customer issues, escalating complex issues as needed
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for new system consumables, such as reagents, antibodies, bio-markers, and software
  • Maintain extensive onsite presence with up to 95% travel, including overnight stays, to support national client base
  • Document and report on implementation progress, customer feedback, and support activities
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless customer experience and continuous improvement of implementation processes
  • Rapidly learn and apply new knowledge and solutions related to chemistry and IT platforms
