Job Description

A ServiceNow HAM/SAM Developer with agile experience designs, develops, and implements solutions within the ServiceNow platform, specializing in Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) modules, while actively participating in an Agile/Scrum environment. Key responsibilities include translating business requirements into technical solutions, scripting, creating custom applications and integrations, and aligning development with platform best practices, all while adhering to agile principles and processes such as sprint planning and daily stand-ups.Ā

Key Responsibilities:

ServiceNow Development:

  • Design, develop, and configure applications, forms, workflows, UI policies, Business Rules, and ACLs within the ServiceNow environment.Ā 

HAM/SAM Expertise:

  • Focus on the implementation and customization of ServiceNow’s Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) modules.Ā 

Agile Participation:

  • Work in an Agile/Scrum framework, attending daily stand-ups, sprint planning meetings, and sprint reviews.Ā 

Ā Requirements Gathering:

  • Gather and translate business needs into technical requirements and solutions for the HAM/SAM modules.Ā 

Best Practices:

  • Ensure all development adheres to ServiceNow’s technical best practices and recommends improvements for the CMDB and CSDM (Common Service Data Model).Ā

Required Skills & Experience:

  • ServiceNow Platform: Extensive hands-on experience with the ServiceNow platform and its specific modules, particularly HAM and SAM Pro.Ā Ā 
  • Scripting: Strong proficiency in JavaScript for developing Business Rules, Client Scripts, and Script Includes.Ā 
  • Agile Methodologies: Proven experience with Agile/Scrum development processes.Ā 
  • ITAM Knowledge: Deep understanding of IT Asset Management principles, including CMDB and integrations with external asset systems.Ā Ā 
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Ā 
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders.Ā 

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  • Certifications: ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist for SAM/HAM.Ā 
  • Advanced ITOM: Experience with other ITOM modules like Discovery.Ā
