Job Description
Job Title: Accounting Analyst III
Location: Remote but candidates MUST BE LOCATED IN SACRAMENTO
Schedule: PST | Day shift (08:00ā17:00) | 70 weeks | Full-time
Requirements:
- Bachelorās degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years of progressive, hands-on accounting experience (REQUIRED)
- Experience with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Proficiency in general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Experience with ERP systems; ability to support system transitions and data validation
- Advanced Excel skills with ability to analyze large datasets
- Experience with high-volume, complex accounting environments
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and core accounting principles (debits and credits)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and execute detailed, data-driven work
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience with Workday financial systems
- Experience with fixed assets and Property, Plant, and Equipment (PPE)
- Experience with data cleansing and large-scale data validation initiatives
- Ability to support cross-functional testing and ERP implementation efforts
- Experience building or refining financial reports
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in data-intensive environments
Summary / Duties:
The Accounting Analyst III supports multiple finance functions including general accounting, banking, projects, and fixed assets, with a strong focus on Workday implementation efforts. This role performs hands-on accounting tasks such as journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting while leading close processes across reporting periods. The position requires deep involvement in data validation, cleansing, and ensuring financial data integrity across systems. The analyst reviews and analyzes financial data, resolves discrepancies, and ensures compliance with GAAP. This role partners with cross-functional teams to support ERP transition activities, including testing and issue resolution, while contributing to reporting improvements and maintaining accuracy in a high-volume, system-driven environment.
