RTLS Systems Analyst
Houston, TX (5 days onsite)
Onsite Role
$24-26/hour

ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is seeking an RTLS (Real-Time Location Services) Systems Analyst to support the continued growth and optimization of their hospital systemās RTLS program across both clinical and operational environments. In this role, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of RTLS tagsāincluding deployment, activation, configuration, conversion, troubleshooting, and decommissioningāto ensure accurate asset tracking and operational efficiency. You will provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, perform audits to maintain data integrity, and collaborate with IT and networking teams to resolve connectivity issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical aptitude, experience in IT support, desktop support, or healthcare technology, and excellent organizational and communication skills. Prior experience with RTLS platforms and asset tracking systems in a healthcare setting is preferred.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Assist with RTLS tag deployment, activation, configuration, and conversion
- Manage the full lifecycle of RTLS tags, including provisioning, assignment, troubleshooting, recovery, and decommissioning
- Maintain accurate tracking and documentation of assets within the RTLS platform
- Support testing and validation of RTLS hardware and software updates
- Track inventory of tags and associated equipment
- Perform audits to maintain data integrity and system accuracy
- Assist with battery replacements, hardware swaps, and device troubleshooting
- Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for RTLS-related issues
- Troubleshoot tag connectivity, signal issues, and system performance concerns
- Collaborate with IT infrastructure and networking teams to resolve connectivity issues
- Support basic network troubleshooting related to RTLS devices
- Escalate complex issues to vendors or senior technical teams as needed
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) for tracking, reporting, and documentation
- Coordinate hardware deployments or system rollouts as needed
WHAT YOU BRING
- Bachelorās degree in Information Systems, Healthcare Technology, or related field OR equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of experience in IT support, desktop support, asset management, or healthcare technology
- Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, networking fundamentals, and system navigation
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Prior experience supporting or implementing an RTLS platform (preferred)
- Experience with asset tracking systems in a hospital or healthcare setting (preferred)
- Familiarity with wireless networks, device configuration, and endpoint troubleshooting (preferred)
- Experience coordinating hardware deployments or system rollouts (preferred)
- Healthcare IT experience (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Technical aptitude and systems thinking
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication with clinical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Proactive and self-directed work style
