Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, and verify performance of sterilization and decontamination equipment
  • Provide hands-on support for sterilization equipment and associated systems (machines; not instruments)
  • Perform planned preventive maintenance inspections and diagnostics
  • Conduct performance testing, calibrations, and sterilization cycle verification support
  • Execute corrective maintenance and repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications
  • Support backlog reduction of sterilization and decontamination equipment work orders
  • Partner with Clinical Engineering leadership to minimize downtime and clinical disruption
  • Float between First Hill and Cherry Hill campuses as operational needs dictate

Required Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with Steris sterilizer equipment (required)
  • Hospital-based Clinical Engineering / Biomed background
  • Experience supporting sterilization and decontamination equipment in acute-care settings
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
