Meditech Expanse Ambulatory (AMB) Analyst/Builder
Location: Nashville/Remote
Hybrid Role
Pay: $60-$65 per hour
Timeline: 12+ Months
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is seeking a Meditech Expanse Ambulatory (AMB) Analyst/Builder to design, build, optimize, and support ambulatory workflows, clinical documentation, provider tools, orders, scheduling, and regulatory/quality components within the Expanse platform. This role collaborates closely with clinical leadership, providers, operational stakeholders, and IT teams to ensure Expanse AMB is configured to support efficient patient care, compliant documentation, and streamlined clinic operations. The Analyst/Builder will play a key role in developing and maintaining ambulatory workflows, provider tools, and scheduling templates, conducting workflow assessments, supporting post-go-live optimization, and performing system testing. This is a hybrid position based in Nashville or remote, with a contract duration of 12+ months.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Design, build, test, and maintain ambulatory workflows within Meditech Expanse AMB.
- Configure and optimize clinic-specific provider tools, including documentation templates, PDoc, tasking, medication reconciliation, and results management.
- Build and maintain PDoc/PDoc Templates, Tasking, Meds Reconciliation, and Ambulatory Results Management.
- Develop and optimize ambulatory scheduling templates, slot types, rules, and provider-specific schedules.
- Conduct workflow assessments across clinics and specialty groups to translate operational needs into Expanse AMB configuration.
- Support optimization initiatives following go-live to improve documentation efficiency and reduce provider burnout.
- Perform unit, integrated, and regression testing for ambulatory changes and system updates.
- Collaborate with clinical leadership, providers, operational stakeholders, and IT teams to ensure effective system configuration and support efficient patient care.
- Develop workflow diagrams, build documentation, and technical specifications for system enhancements and changes.
- Engage in large-scale EHR implementations, upgrades, or specialty clinic go-lives as needed.
- Communicate effectively with physicians and operational leaders to gather requirements and provide system support.
WHAT YOU BRING
- 3+ years of experience with Meditech Expanse Ambulatory (AMB) build or support.
- Hands-on experience with one or more of the following: ambulatory workflows, provider tools (documentation templates, PDoc, ordering), scheduling build, CDS logic/rules, or tasking & messaging.
- Strong understanding of ambulatory clinical operations and provider workflow needs.
- Experience participating in large-scale EHR implementations, upgrades, or specialty clinic go-lives (preferred).
- Ability to develop workflow diagrams, build documentation, and technical specifications.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage physicians and operational leaders.
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, IT, or related field (preferred).
- Meditech Expanse certifications (AMB, PDoc, Orders, CPOE) strongly preferred.
- Clinical background (preferred).
