Job Description

Title: Inventory Technician

Location: Onsite – Orange, California

Duration: December 1 – December 19

Shift: 8am-5pm PST

Job Summary

The Inventory Technician is responsible for accurately tracking and maintaining records of all desktop devices and related peripherals within the organization. This role ensures that inventory data is complete, up-to-date, and properly documented to support operational efficiency and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct physical inventory of all desktop devices, including:
    • PCs, Thin Clients, Laptops
    • Attached peripherals (keyboards, mice, monitors)
    • Hand scanners, scanners, printers, badge readers
  • Record detailed information for each device:
    • Location, floor, department, room
    • Assigned user and department manager
  • Update and maintain inventory records in the designated system or database.
  • Verify asset assignments and ensure accuracy of ownership details.
  • Collaborate with IT and department managers to reconcile discrepancies.
  • Generate inventory reports for management review.
  • Assist with tagging, labeling, and organizing devices for easy identification.
  • Support audits and compliance checks related to IT assets.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with desktop hardware and peripherals.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management systems.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with multiple departments.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in inventory management or IT asset tracking.
  • Previous experience in healthcare IT or similar regulated environments.
  • Knowledge of asset management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Asset Panda)
