Implementation Business Analyst – Clinical Management – Remote
Start Date: ASAP
6 Month Contract to Hire
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Implementation Business Analyst (BA) to join our BPaaS Implementation team. This role focuses on supporting platform and process implementation for Payers, ensuring efficient and effective execution of clinical management solutions. The ideal candidate will possess excellent process knowledge, strong client-facing skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
As an Implementation BA, you will lead discussions with clients to gather and define requirements, create process maps, and document comprehensive business and functional requirements. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless implementation and support activities including testing, go-live, and post-implementation support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering & Documentation:
- Engage with clients to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
- Facilitate workshops and discussions to elicit client needs and priorities.
- Develop detailed process maps and workflows for clinical management solutions.
- Implementation Support:
- Lead and participate in client discussions regarding Care Management, Prior Authorization, Utilization Management, and Concurrent/Retrospective Review processes.
- Collaborate with technical and functional teams to align solutions with business objectives.
- Monitor progress and address potential risks or roadblocks during implementation.
- Testing & Go-Live Activities:
- Develop and execute test plans to validate system functionality and performance.
- Provide hands-on support during user acceptance testing (UAT) and resolve issues promptly.
- Support go-live activities and ensure smooth transition to operational teams.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Act as a liaison between clients, project teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in healthcare payer operations, clinical management, or related domains.
- Strong knowledge of clinical management processes, including Care Management, Prior Authorization, Utilization Management, and Concurrent/Retro Reviews.
- Proven experience in platform/process implementation projects, ideally within a BPaaS or healthcare technology environment.
- Proficiency in process mapping tools and methodologies.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and documentation skills.
- Experience with testing, UAT, and go-live support is highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of healthcare payer platforms and regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity with tools like Visio, JIRA, or other project management and documentation platforms.
- Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or relevant healthcare/IT certifications.
