Job Title: Imaging Program Manager
Location: Hybrid (onsite travel to Houston required)
1 year contract
Job Summary:
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Imaging Program Manager to lead the evolution of our enterprise imaging ecosystem. This role will play a critical part in shaping and executing a multi-year roadmap focused on imaging application rationalization, systems integration, and operational excellence across a range of clinical specialties including radiology, cardiology, mammography, and pathology.
The ideal candidate is both a big-picture thinker and a hands-on leader who can drive cross-functional initiatives, identify synergies across diverse imaging platforms, and optimize the use of imaging technologies including PACS, VNA, AI tools, post-processing software, routing systems, and dictation/documentation platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic planning and execution for enterprise imaging initiatives, including application rationalization, consolidation, and system integration.
- Assess and advise on current imaging technologies and recommend improvements or replacements to increase efficiency and interoperability.
- Collaborate with clinical, IT, and operational stakeholders to align imaging strategies with organizational goals.
- Identify and leverage synergies across various imaging disciplines such as radiology, mammography, cardiology, pathology, and others.
- Guide the implementation of imaging solutions, including PACS, VNA, AI-driven tools, post-processing software, and dictation/documentation systems.
- Support governance models and standardization efforts for enterprise imaging workflows.
- Monitor and report on project status, risk mitigation, and performance metrics aligned with operational excellence.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on imaging systems and emerging technologies, maintaining current knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Informatics, Radiologic Technology, Health IT, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in imaging systems management, health IT, or clinical systems leadership.
- Strong knowledge of imaging platforms and systems including PACS, VNA, AI tools, routing engines, and post-processing technologies.
- Familiarity with clinical imaging workflows across multiple specialties (radiology, cardiology, mammography, pathology, etc.).
- Proven experience in strategic planning, system integration, and large-scale program management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on efficiency and scalability.
Preferred:
- Certification in project or program management (e.g., PMP, PgMP).
- Experience with enterprise imaging platforms (e.g., Sectra, GE, Philips, Fuji, Agfa, etc.).
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards related to imaging (HIPAA, DICOM, HL7, etc.).
