Title: HEOR Consultant
Duration: 6-month contract
Location: Hybrid – Lake Forest, IL
Start Date: ASAP
Job Description:
This HEOR consultant will report to the Director, Global Market Access & HEOR, and will be responsible for the development and execution of clinical & economic value evidence plans, aligning with the clinical and economic evidence requirements of key markets to gain appropriate reimbursement and funding from public and private payers.
Deliverables:
- Conduct HEOR projects to support the Clinical, Humanistic, and Economic Value of key stakeholders
- Works collaboratively with cross-functional and cross-regional team members, such as Market Access, Clinical Affairs, Medical Affairs, Brand Marketing, Government Affairs, and others to drive HEOR strategy and deliverables
- Acts as a liaison between regional market access leaders and vendors
- Responsible for health economic modeling, such as financial, budget impact and cost effectiveness models
- Assist with systematic literature reviews
- Considers the access evidence requirements needed for key markets and drives the strategy and tactical execution for both the health economics and outcomes research for pipeline products
- Participates in determining clinical and economic gaps and develops plan to help fulfill these gaps
- Drives HEOR Publication strategy and works with KOLs on implementation of this strategy
- Prioritize & stage development of HEOR toolset planning within investment constraints and annual planning
- Deliver proactive, transparent, and effective communications cadence to ensure timely dissemination of information with market access leadership and matrix stakeholders
Requirements:
- Advanced Degree (MBA, MPH, PhD, MD) with consideration for MPH or other advanced degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare Economics or Epidemiology with relevant advanced industry experience
- 10+ years of experience in diagnostics (preferred) or point of care diagnostics fields with strong knowledge of healthcare industry
- 5+ years relevant experience in at least one of the following fields: Health Economics, Clinical Research, Epidemiology, Health Policy
- Demonstrated robust analytical individual skills related to financial modeling, healthcare utilization, systematic literature reviews, scientific analytics, ongoing performance – the ability to execute independently and through others while maintaining a high-standard of deliverables
- Thorough understanding of global guidelines as they relate to HEOR and Medical Affairs, as well as expertise in global HTA/payer reimbursement and market access requirements
- Global experience working across cultures and understanding market requirements
- Leadership and intrapersonal skills to ensure that the vision is shared, understood and executed against by colleagues across the world in a complex matrix organization
- Ability to earn followership and be an active and collaborative thought partner both within team and across the organization
