External Financial Environment Strategist

Hybrid, Titusville, NJ

1 year contract with very high likelihood of extension

Our client is looking to add an External Financial Environment Strategist to their Data Science Platforms & Privacy to extract, analyze, summarize, and verify information. This position will help to provide insight that enables us to execute proactively on our strategies and initiatives such as AI, data governance, and real-world health. This position will assist with the monitoring the external financial environment and collaborate across Data Science applying the external learnings. We are looking for this person to be a great team player, a self-starter, and a true problem solver.

 

Core responsibilities:

  • Monitor the global privacy landscape, identifying impending regulations, policies, and procedures creating dashboards, presentations and such for leadership to understand what is occurring.
  • Assist in the creation, review, and provide periodic updates to SOPs with an eye to AI, ML and NLP.
  • Manage and coordinate compliance related processes (e.g. SOC2/ISO background checks).
  • Monitor and track best practices and emerging compliance changes/impacts for continuous improvement opportunities with regards to AI, ML and NLP.
  • Cross-functionally support Legal, Regulatory, Privacy, and Research & Development teams.
  • Pave the way for shaping the next generation of policies and best practices for using ML, AI, NLP and other data science technologies in the healthcare.
  • Keep up to date on federal/state/local regulations and flag appropriate impacts to SMEs.
  • Provide updates on AI, security, privacy and data governance applicable laws and regulations for US, EU, LATAM, CHINA and ASIAPAC.
  • Provides thought leadership and contributes to expanding the knowledge base within areas of expertise which includes developing new methods, techniques, and criteria for developing strategy analysis and recommendations.

 

Core Qualifications

  • Experience preferred in Policy and Procedure development, process workflows, and standard operating procedures.
  • Experience in Finance, working with budgets and procurement, within the Life Sciences and/or Pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience working with sensitive and confidential data.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, to work independently as well as collaboratively on a team, and adapt in a fast-paced, highly productive research environment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in written reports, e-mails, and orally via presentations of data.
  • Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
  • Flexibility to respond quickly to changing priorities.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet timelines on deliverables.
  • Self-starter, sense of urgency, and works well under pressure.
  • Exhibits an awareness and understanding of positive ethical and moral principles consistent with the mission and values of the organization.
  • Strong ability to prioritize and organize effectively in a multi-tasking environment.
  • Strong adaptability to changes and work under pressure.
