Position: Data Analysts (2)    

Location: Remote. Client based in Seattle, WA

Duration: 3-6 month contract (likely to extend)

Start Date: May 10, 2021

BR: $120-130

 

 

Business Objective:

We are looking for a Data Analyst to assist the Engineering Team and play an essential role in our projects, from the early stages of solution planning, analysis and design through implementations and operations.  

 

We expect the data analyst to excel at mastering the complex data models, transformations, standards and tools needed to be successful as a data-centric organization. 

 

Day-To-Day:

 

· Generate or use different sets of rules for combining or grouping data in different ways with a focus on the healthcare payer and provider data domains.

· Communicate information and ideas in writing and diagrams so others will understand; create appropriate communications targeted to corresponding audiences.

· Combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events or data points).

· Demonstrate the ability to arrange data or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., codes, code sets, value lists, patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).

· Analyze Data or Information and Interpreting the Meaning of Information for Others — Translating or explaining what information means and how it can be used.

· Process Information — Compiling, coding, categorizing, calculating, tabulating, auditing, or verifying information or data.

 

Responsibilities:

· Documenting specifications of data assets for both proprietary and standards-based data sources; specific focus on healthcare related data models in both the payer and provider domains.

· Describing and detailing data transformation logic from data source to target data models with a specific focus on the FHIR resources as the targe data model.

· Maintain library of data analysis artifacts, data management processes, data model documents, templates, or other reusable knowledge assets.

· Create data asset management tools or systems, including design of related wiki pages, databases, spreadsheets, or outputs.

· Maintain or update data asset management tools, databases, dashboards, systems, or methods. 

· Manage timely flow of data asset information to developers, engineers and users.

· Create or review technical design documentation to ensure the accurate development of data management and reporting solutions.

· Conduct or coordinate tests to ensure that data models are consistent with defined needs; work closely with QA team to ensure data quality, consistency, validation, etc.

· Identify or monitor current and potential customers use and adoption of data management tools and assets, and API adoption.

· Communicate with customers, competitors, suppliers, professional organizations, or others to stay abreast of industry or business trends; e.g. ONC, HL7, terminology standards orgs., etc.

 

Minimum Qualifications

· 5+ years’ experience in data quality analysis, root cause investigations, and remediation (not application testing)

· 5+ years’ experience working with data tools such as SQL, R, Python, SAS, Looker, Tableau, PoweerBI, Hue and TOAD

· Experience and working knowledge of data in a healthcare data management environment

· Experience in migrating manual data quality processes to an automated, sustainable framework

 

Preferred Qualifications

· Preferred AHIMA Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA)
