Job Title: Break-Fix/Refresh Technician

Location: Greater Dayton Area (On-Site)

Duration: 12-Month Contract (Renews Annually)

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Overview:

We are seeking a hands-on Break-Fix/Refresh Technician to join our IT team in the Greater Dayton area. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in the IT field while providing direct hardware support to hospital and clinic staff. The technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and replacing IT hardware across multiple hospital and clinic locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Device Refresh & Deployment
    • Replace outdated desktops, laptops, monitors, and peripherals.
    • Set up and configure workstations for hospital staff.
    • Image and reimage devices for future use.
    • Deploy and install new hardware at various hospital locations.
  • Hardware & Software Support
    • Troubleshoot and repair issues with workstations, printers, and other IT equipment.
    • Install and update operating systems and hospital applications (e.g., Windows 11 upgrades).
    • Perform rip-and-replace tasks for scheduled hardware updates.
  • User Support & Collaboration
    • Assist hospital staff, including nurses and doctors, with IT issues.
    • Communicate effectively with end-users to resolve technical problems.
    • Coordinate with IT teams (e.g., PACS team) for software installations and system configurations.
  • Inventory & Asset Management
    • Track and document hardware replacements and installations.
    • Ensure all deployed devices meet security and compliance standards.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required; IT-related higher education is a plus.
  • 0-3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or technician roles (e.g., Geek Squad, IT internships).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (ability to explain IT issues in simple terms).
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle for travel between sites.
  • CompTIA A+ Certification is a plus but not required.
