Title: International Client Manager

Location: Onsite Baltimore

Length 6-month Contract to Hire

Position Summary:

The International Client Manager is a high-touch, client-facing role responsible for managing and supporting a select group of high-net-worth, VIP, and influential patients as they navigate care across a large, complex health system. This role combines exceptional relationship management with clinical coordination and team leadership, ensuring a seamless and elevated patient experience while supporting strategic engagement with donors, trustees, and high-profile constituents.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Cultivate and maintain referral sources for high-net-worth and influential patients.
  • Serve as a key point of contact to guide patients through the health system, ensuring seamless coordination of care across all facilities.
  • Provide expert-level information and support regarding clinical services, physicians, and care pathways.
  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with physicians, clinical teams, and administrative departments.
  • Oversee scheduling and logistics of medical appointments, tests, and procedures.
  • Lead and manage a team of client specialists, including performance oversight and professional development.
  • Dedicate approximately 50% of time to direct patient care and clinical case triaging.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Advanced knowledge of medical terminology, disease states, and healthcare systems.
  • Strong ability to build trust and communicate effectively with high-profile clients including executives, donors, and VIPs.
  • Experience working in concierge medicine, executive health, or other high-touch healthcare environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion.
  • Skilled in identifying and responding to patient needs with empathy, precision, and urgency.

Internal & External Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain deep relationships with physicians, nurses, and key internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership, executive health teams, and development or advancement staff.
  • Support donor relations and organizational initiatives through excellent service and informed engagement.

Reporting & Representation:

  • Generate, analyze, and present reports related to patient volume, satisfaction, and clinical activity using internal systems.
  • Represent the organization at client and donor-facing events, including development and advancement functions.
  • Share patient insights with advancement teams, when appropriate, to support cultivation and stewardship strategies.

Leadership & Team Engagement:

  • Serve as a leader and mentor to junior staff and client specialists within the department.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to team-wide strategic planning and service improvement efforts.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and high-level service across the organization.

Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Health Care, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
